Hey Indian Wells Valley Groundwater Authority, There’s a Production Well in Trona. Guess Who Owns It.

Trona California
It was just a week ago that we were informed that an AI Data Center was being proposed for Inyokern.
In case you missed it, here’s the Post we put up yesterday afternoon. The Data Center has added to controversies in the IWV on a number of issues:
The CEO of R&L Capital, Mr. Robbie Barker, has a brother named Shawn, and it appears they might have some water for sale. Shawn sent this to publisher@Roadrunner395.com shortly after the Post above was emailed.
Without further commentary or any more predictions, we’ll keep an eye on both the Inyokern Data Center and the Trona Well and see how it all plays out.
The Great Indian Wells Valley Water War has just become even more complicated.

Upcoming Meetings
On Monday, the Indian Wells Valley Water District holds their monthly meeting at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Indian Wells Valley Groundwater Authority holds their monthly meeting at 11 a.m.
On June 1st, 2026, Judge William D. Claster of the Orange County Superior Court will call the parties to order in the Indian Wells Valley Comprehensive Adjudication Phase Two trial.
How Much Water is That Well Pumping?
Does anyone want to guess the gallons per minute (GPM) being pumped from the well in the image above?
Example Calculations:
- 10 GPM → 10 × 0.00531 ≈ 0.0531 acre-feet/day
- 100 GPM → 100 × 0.00531 ≈ 0.531 acre-feet/day
- 500 GPM → 500 × 0.00531 ≈ 2.655 acre-feet/day
Send your estimate in acre/feet to Publisher@Roadrunner395.com assuming 24x7x365 pumping and we’ll ask Shawn to determine the winning number.
