Why should the American People not consider the U.S. Oil companies to be Traitors? They raised the price of gasoline, diesel, and other petroleum products for no reason, except pure greed, which I consider deliberate gouging. The cost of oil pumped from U.S. land and refined in the U.S. did not increase because of the closing of the Strait of Hormuz or the war.
President Trump and the American People changed the Oil Companies’ opportunity to make more profits through additional pumping, drilling, and refining petroleum products. Not considering subsidies and reduced regulations and controls they received. Changes which made them significantly more profitable in this country and selling their products to other countries.
Changes that were intended to allow them to reduce the costs of energy, including fuel and other petroleum products for the American people.
I do not have a problem with them raising their price of oil and refined products to other countries, because of the war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to current world market prices, but they have no justification for raising the price of gasoline, diesel, aircraft fuel and other petroleum products in this country other than greed. In Fact, the closure of the straits and the war undoubtedly increased their profits on the oil and oil products they sell to other countries and probably will increase their future market for other products, like fertilizer, in this country.
I am not attacking capitalism, but it has to be tempered with morality and loyalty to our country’s liberty that made it possible for them to build their companies. The U.S, oil companies are willing to throw the U.S. people under the bus, showing no loyalty to this country, or gratitude for making them more profitable. Given their greedy acts, maybe we should be seriously concerned about the danger they present when they only worship money. They have the ability to join together in thought and greed to control 50%+ of the energy in our country. An act that could give them the ability to control the entire U.S. economy.
I do have to acknowledge that the oil companies are not totally responsible for increased costs of fuel in some western states. At least a significant part of the price increase is the California Democrats’ support of their climate change lie. A lie they created to give them more control over the California citizens, whom they consider subjects. It was the Democrats’ actions that forced oil companies that still operate in California to buy oil and refined products, such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel from foreign countries at higher prices. The Democrats’ actions have closed 34 refineries, stopped oil pumping and drilling, increased taxes and costly laws and regulations forcing them to charge more and forced many to leave the state under the false climate change beliefs.
Why are the Democrats not identifying the price gouging, because it hurts President Trump. I would not be surprised to find out they made some deal with the oil companies to raise the prices. They will do anything to gain power and control with no concern for the average citizens only the rich who keep them in office.

This article was written to promote the people’s thought process and consideration of the facts. While it was written regarding American oil companies, it can easily be applied to all international companies with their origin in America.
Companies that owe their success to the liberty provided by our Declaration of Independence and Constitution which ensured their capitalist goals could be achieved. The protections and principles allowed the builders of the companies to keep the profits from their labor and intellectual product/property. It was this individual liberty that created the most successful country in history, especially when patriotic companies protected the United States and the opportunity it gave them.
Unfortunately, during the mid to late sixties they changed from being American Companies to international companies, at that time most changed and put their greed above their loyalty to protect the future of our country which gave them the liberty and protections that promoted their success. Companies that now use their money and influence to promote their greed with no concern for the future of this nation or the future of our children. (I use the term Liberty, because liberty is given by God and freedom is given by governments.)
